Bridging the Gap:
A Capital Campaign to Bridge the Gap Between a Distinguished Past and a Bright Future for The Jenkins School
Throughout its vibrant history, The Jenkins School has crafted a high-quality early childhood curriculum. In 2009, the school needed to relocate and found a bright beautiful new home at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Lancaster. While the relocation was a change for the better in many ways, the costs of moving created a substantial debt.
Why is the Board launching a Capital Campaign for the first time in the history of the school?
-
The Jenkins School has a new, bright home and there are some significant costs associated with the move off of the Millersville University campus.
-
The School seeks to grow in size and service in the next two years, and to offer financial aid to families.
-
The School seeks donations of funds, new computers, and software to add up-to-date technology to its curriculum.
-
The School seeks to eliminate all of its debt to the bank and the structured debt owed to Millersville University.
-
The School wants to establish a permanent endowment to ensure a stable and predictable financial future.
