Evening of the Arts
In spring the halls and walls of the school are filled with more than 75 2D, 3D and hanging art pieces created by our students at “The Evening of the Arts”.
Throughout the year students spend half an hour each week in art class learning about different art mediums, artists and the elements of art. These areas provide our students a variety of inspirations to explore and express their own unique creativity. The art pieces are collected throughout the school year and then displayed for our friends and family to view and enjoy at this evening event!
Music Fest
In February students participate in our all-school music performance, MusicFest. Friends and family are invited to join us for the evening as students take the stage to sing and play instruments. Each year the show has a different theme and is highlighted by a Kindergarten performance on Boom Whackers, an audience favorite. This is a great event in which each student is a star and the evening concludes with a dessert reception to celebrate a fantastic performance!
Field and Fitness Day
Field & Fitness Day is a day in May for Jenkins Students to participate in outdoor events to test their abilities in a variety of activities. We provide an atmosphere free of competition with plenty of exercise and encouragement for classmates.
Grandparents/Special Visitors Day
Grandparents/Special Visitors Day is a special school day where the past and present come together to share. The Jenkins students perform for their grandparents and eat a snack together after spending time in the classrooms.
